Lizzie sauntered into her aunt's resteraunt like she owned the place. It was one of her favorite places to be. She just loved to come in and not order anything to bug her aunt and sister. Mostly her sister. Maddie was always so mature about everything. Lizzie knew that, as the eldest sister, she should have been the one with the most maturity, but it just didn't happen that way most of the time. Lizzie looked at life like a challenge. A challenge that couldn't be beat without a bit of humour. It's not that Maddie didn't have a sense of humour. Just the opposite really, but she didn't have as much fun as Lizzie and Sophie. Maybe that was why Lizzie and Sophie argued the most. It didn't bother Lizzie much though. She loved both of her sisters equally. She just liked to do different things with them.
Lizzie sat at the bar in the front of the resteraunt and ordered a drink. She also asked the worker to find her sister. She knew that it was about Maddie's lunch time and Lizzie had decided that she would eat lunch with her today. They hadn't had much time lately to hang out and Lizzie felt bad about that. But what could she do? She had work and school. So did Maddie. And what with the demon fighting, potion, and spell making, they didn't have much time to just hang out. It had been even longer than that since she'd been able to hang out with Sophie outside of work, but Lizzie would deal with that one later. Today was Maddie's turn and tomorrow would be Sophie's, hopefully. It would be nice for them all to get together and just hang out, even if it had to be at home.
Lizzie sipped at her drink as she waited for her sister. She let her eyes roam the resteraunt. They rested on and elderly couple sitting close by. The couple was holding hands and smiling into each other's eyes. It so forcefully reminded her of her grandparents that she felt her throat close up and tears prick in the back of her eyes. She brought them forward again, not wanting to cry. She missed them so much. It was more than that too. She wished she had what they and the couple close to her had. Somebody to love and somebody to love her. It wasn't that she didn't have admirers, it was just that they were all so wrong for her. She sighed inwardly. No point in worrying about things she couldn't change. She took another drink and waited for her sister.

Maddie had just settled down in to a chair, with a glass of soda and a magazine. She was gonna make the most of her lunch break today. There were no demons, no potions blowing up in her face and no spells going haywire around the house, the type that took days to fix and always ended up leaving quite a mess behind them. It was also nice not to hear her sisters arguing constantly, and having to dive headfirst in to an argument, hoping both your sisters would come out alive, and without something wrong with them due to the other one... usually, everything went okay..sometimes, not so much.
She knew that it was going to be a shortlived peaceful time, especially when one of the younger waiters came in, and said her sister was looking for her. He never specified which sister though, and she couldn't help but wonder which it was. She supposed that meant she'd have to go find out, and just pray the reason wasn't a bad one. Although, she reasoned with herself that if something bad had happened, her sisters would have got her on her cell phone, not turn up here in the middle of a crisis. She let out a sigh, and reluctantly stood up, to search out her sister.
Upon walking out the room, she saw her instantly, sat at one of her usual tables. Lizzie. Well, that was okay, she was somewhat mature, and she looked calm, maybe it was nothing to worry about after all. She approched the table, and slid in to the seat opposite her sister, "Hey..." She said slowly, "What's up?" Please don't let them have blew the house up... pleeease?

Lizzie grinned when she saw her sister walked into sight. Knowing Maddie, she would be thinking the worst. Maddie was always trying to keep the peace around the house. Lizzie thought that she probably looked at work as a place to get some peace of her own, though she couldn't blame her. With Lizzie and Sophie arguing a lot and then the demon problem, Maddie had a good reason to be nervous about an unexpected visit. Lizzie would have thought that her sister would realize that if there was a crisis, they would have called. Though, Maddie may have come to the conclusion. When Maddie sat across from her, Lizzie's thoughts were confirmed. Maddie's face was very suspicious. "No need to look all concerned." Lizzie said with a laugh. "I just thought you might like some company for lunch."
Lizzie smiled again at her sister. Sometimes it was hard to be the oldest, but she had to admit that Maddie acted more like the oldest most times. "So how's work going today? Make any good tips? Meet any hot guys?" Lizzie added with a wink. She totally thought that Maddie needed a man.

Maddie just smiled at her sister, company was always appreciated... just not the panic attack she got before hand. She would tell her sister to phone first, but then she'd get worried that something bad had happened, when she saw the call alert... there was no getting out of these little attacks. Damn them. She knew her sister didn't mean any harm, it was just hard not to worry about those two. And the house... and surrounding houses. Don't get her wrong, she loved them, but sometimes, she wished they just would hug and make up instead of fight, even if most of the time, they weren't even fights, just disagreements.
Maddie shook her head at her sister, man, always about the guys. "Works going okay, made a few good tips, and that's none of your business. ...Maybe though...few fit ones...couple of cute ones... maybe a number....who knows?" She just gave off an innocent smile, and pretended to check over her nails.

Lizzie watched with satisfaction as her sister shook her head. Most people would call Lizzie boy crazy, but they didn't know her all that well. Lizzie just liked to have a good time. Especially when it involved a cute boy. She couldn't help it sometimes. One of her biggest dreams is to find love like the kind that her Grams and Gramps had. How was she supposed to find it if she didn't play the field alittle? Lizzie sighed inwardly. Maddie was the one who didn't really put much stock into boys. Not that they didn't try. Lizzie looked across the table at her sister. She had always thought that Maddie was beautiful. The guys would probably eat her up if she let them. Suddenly, Lizzie thought it was a great thing that her sister had her priorities straight.
Lizzie snorted. "None of my business. How rude." She said, trying to hide her smile. She couldn't help but taunt Maddie sometimes. "Fit ones? You know how I like a man who's fit. Cuteness helps too." She shrugged slightly. "Phone numbers, huh? You actually gonna call any of them?"

Maddie smiled, she knew her sister would be more interested in the fact she'd mentioned fit lads, than the fact work had been okay along with the tips. It was just the way Lizzie's mind worked. It wasn't her fault she had a one track mind. Although she knew her sister would rather be with the one guy, she just got fed up with them after a while and had a change about.
"I'm not going to phone them, you know that. I just take them to make them happy... they leave good tips that way. Do you want the numbers?" Lizzie may like the fit ones, but Maddie tended to go for the really cute, sweet looking ones. There just wasn't many about.

Lizzie just smiled at her sister. She knew her too well. Then again, Lizzie was normally an easy person to read. Her thoughts and feelings normally were plastered all over her face. Sometimes it was a huge pain in the butt, but other times it came in handy. Especially during the demon fighting. It always came in handy when her sisters could read her next move plainly on her face. It was a good thing that most of the demons were just stupid and couldn't realize her intentions beforehand. Many demon were just completely dense.
"No thankyou." Lizzie said with a wink. "I think I'm fine on the phone numbers for now. I got a couple last night at work." She hesitated slightly. Her family had been sleeping when she had gotten home last night. She wondered briefly if she should tell Maddie about the guy she had met and talked to forever. She decided in a split instant that it was probably what was best. It wasn't wise for them to keep secrets from each other. "I met a guy last night." She said slowly.

Maddie locked on to her words, and forget anything else she might have been likely to say. She might not be interested in dating, but she still loved to hear about her sisters guys. It was always much more interesting for her anyway. Plus, her sisters went out with some characters, it was usually a good story... But, from Lizzie's slowness, at speaking, she had a feeling that Lizzie actually had started to like this one. Maybe it was time she didn't get bored, and stayed with the same guy? Who knew.
She leaned forwards slightly, and rested her elbow on the table, her face in her hand. She didn't want to miss anything important here. "Do tell, don't leave me hanging now." She said, smiling, encouragingly.

Lizzie had seen the encouraging smile on her sister's face, but still she hesitated. It wasn't something that would be easy to explain. All of last night's conversation with Brandon was branded into her mind. Try as she might not to think about it, it had still been leaking through all day. What was so hard for her to explain was the fact that it was probably one of the weirdest things that had happened to her while working at P3. Her heart raced slightly as she remembered the feel of his hand on hers. She shook her head slightly to dispel her thoughts.
"Well. It's not easy to explain." Lizzie said, slowly again. "I was working, of course, and this guy comes up to the bar. He was all cocky at first. Told me he'd like a Vodka and my phone number." She laughed lightly. "For some reason I just couldn't help but talk to him. Then I realized that he's sort of sweet. He wasn't really cocky anymore when we got to talking. I don't know what came over me though. You're not going to believe this, but I actually blushed!" She stated incrediously.

Maddie looked disbelievingly at her sister. Nahh, no way. Lizzie didn't blush. It wasn't in Lizzie's nature. The only time Maddie had ever seen her sisters cheeks tinged pink was that time she caught sun burn, and it was more of a nasty, bright pink.... not the cute little rose-blush pink.
"He nice though?" She asked, "Not too cocky, I hope." Maddie leaned even further forwards, "I don't believe you blushed, you never blush, not even when we walked in on you in the shower... you just got pissed..." She wanted to know more about this guy. Was he human? A witch? Warlock? Elder? Did he have a job? Was he new to the town or a local? She figured she could just harrass her sister for that sort of information at a later date though, like, when she'd actually gone on a date with him.

Lizzie grinned. Maddie was looking so disbelieving now that Lizzie was pretty sure that she wouldn't have believed her if she had been known to lie. Lizzie wasn't a liar and this was probably the only reason that Maddie asked the questions she asked next. Lizzie tried to hold back her laughter. It was easy. It was just so funny to be sitting here talking about her weird behavior. Maybe easier to laugh about than to wonder why this gu8y had such an influence over her. It was kind of strange. Lizzie had never felt that way before and it scared her just a little bit.
"Yes, he was nice. Cocky a bit at first, but then he became a bit of a gentleman." Lizzie smiled. "You have to admit, cocky would be a good match for me." So true. Lizzie had her cocky moments. They tended to happen more often than she would care to admit. "His name is Brandon and he works at the Bay Mirror." She said, able to read her sister's burning curiosity in her eyes. "He asked me out to dinner tonight." She admitted.

Maddie wasn't too sure what to say, she was completely happy for her sister - and she was glad that she'd found a guy that she actually wanted to talk about. It showed a bit of hope for the poor Brandon, maybe he wouldn't be disposed of so early in the game. Who knew? Maddie didn't. Her sister was more of a spontaneous soul, or so Maddie thought.
"Didja accept? Do you have a date tonight? Do we need to give you unlimited access to the bathroom so you can primp yourself up?" She was excited for her sister, so very excited... but she was also scared that Lizzie would end up throwing him, and then regretting it afterwards...

Lizzie had let herself get caught up in the memory of the converation last night. She was remembering when she had asked Brandon about his family and he had said that they died in a fire. She also remembered her suspicions about his brother. She had thought that maybe he was a Fire Starter as Brandon had said that the fire started in front of him with no accelerant. She wondered if maybe she should share her suspicions with Maddie. It was always good to put two heads together when there was a mystery to figure out. And Maddie's head was one of the best. The girl was just too damn smart for her own good.
Lizzie smiled again. "Of course I accepted." She said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "And yes. Unlimited bathroom time would be nice. Just don't say anything to dad. You know how he is about us going out with guys we met in the club." It was true. Their dad was just a wee bit over protective. Lizzie hesitated again. "There was one thing, though. He told me about his family. Said that they died in a fire. The police ruled it as arson, but he didn't sound like he believed it. The way he told me about it makes me think that his brother was a Fire Starter. Like our cousin."

Maddie thought for a moment, Lizzie had a point. Daddy was wayy to over protective about that sort of stuff, even though all three of them were wayyy old enough to make their own decisions about whom to date, and where they met them. Dad's where so over the top about their little girls and the guys who wanted them to play out. Why couldn't they just be cool with it. No one stopped him from dating, and getting married... and having children. Urggh.
"What if we cover you instead?" She asked, "Tell dad you've got a headache, or you had a rough day at the club, and he's not to disturb you...until you're sure you're gonna keep seeing this Brandon?" It was just easier not to tell dad anything. Maddie listened to the rest of her sisters speech, before pausing. Fire Starter? Was it Brandon that had said that, or did it just come across that way to Lizzie? "Does he know anything of our world?" She asked, "I mean, does he know you're a witch?" It was always hard to hide who you were from someone. Maddie had always thought that Gramma had it right... to get with someone that knew all about her world, and had helped out with it a couple of times. Someone who could protect her, and had access to knowledge when they needed it.
"Bathroom is yours for the night then... it shouldn't be too hard to keep Sophie out of there until you've left... just give us all a heads up before you go in so we can pee."

Lizzie thought about it for a minute. Maddie made a good point. It was probably best to keep daddy in the dark until she was sure of this weird thing between her and this guy. Daddy would freak if he learned that she was going to dinner with a guy from the club. It was a battle that Lizzie didn't feel like fighting. Maybe it was best to fake an illness and get out of the house quietly. The best thing for all involved. Dad was sure to berate her sisters with questions after Lizzie left the house. Yes, it was definitely for the best.
"Great idea." Lizzie told her sister. "Keep dad out of the loop. No need for him to no anything until I know something myself." She nodded, happy with her decision. Her dad meant the world to her, but she could get annoyed with him once and awhile. Lizzie shook her head at her sister's next statement. "I don't think so. He doesn't know I'm a witch. It just came off that way to me. I'm not sure about anything, but I've learned to listen to my instincts." She said with a wink at her sister. It would be stupid for them not to listen to them, with everything that they had been through.
"Thanks. Yeah, I'm sure Sophie will stay away. She knows better." Lizzie laughed. "I'll let you in to pee. Just don't mess up my hair or touch my makeup." She teased.
